AI policy

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) image generation or enhancement is not permitted.

RAW files

The Promoter reserves the right to request a copy of the original camera file and a screengrab of your indexing software showing other images from the same shoot.

Editing rules

The quotes come from the 2026 terms and conditions; the 2027 terms and dates were not published by 7 November 2026. The 2026 terms say AI image generation or enhancement is not permitted, images enhanced through AI including AI-enhanced generative fill are disqualified, and any post-processing that adds new image content via AI algorithms or manual intervention contravenes the terms. Images must show the scene as photographed; focus and exposure stacking are acceptable, sky replacement, added weather elements, added, moved or removed objects and painted foregrounds or backgrounds are not. All shortlisted and winning images are checked before the winners are announced, and the promoter may request the original camera file and a screengrab of indexing software showing other images from the same shoot. Edits must be disclosed in the image description at upload.
