IPPAWARDS uses a tool restriction rather than an explicit AI ban: only iOS apps are allowed for editing; desktop software (Photoshop, Lightroom) is prohibited. Desktop generative AI tools therefore cannot be used. Organizers may request the original file to verify capture on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod; entries that cannot be verified are disqualified.
