Mobile Photography Awards (MPA) 2026 (15th edition)
The Mobile Photography Awards (MPA), now in its 15th year, is the longest-running international award for mobile-shot photography. The MPA combines a tool restriction (mobile-only capture and editing - no desktop manipulation) with a dedicated AI category that isolates generative work from the main photography categories. Useful index entry as a tool-restriction baseline.

Images shot and edited on any mobile phone or tablet... you may use any app or any combination of apps if it's on your phone or tablet. From a desktop computer you may compress file size, change file titles, and upload to the site, but there should be no image alteration, crops, adjustments, or manipulations from a desktop or laptop.

Editing rules
The MPA combines a mobile-only capture and editing requirement (no desktop manipulation) with a dedicated Artificial Intelligence category. AI-generated entries are accepted only in that category, mirroring the IPA/TIFA model but adapted for mobile-photography conventions. Past AI category winners include 'Souls of the Ancient Sea Bed #5' by John Nieto.
