ÖVF Österreich Fotowettbewerb 3/2026

The Österreich Fotowettbewerb is the national open competition of the Austrian Photography Association (ÖVF), run in three rounds a year, and every entry has to be photographed in Austria. Round 1/2026 closed on 31 May 2026 and round 2/2026 on 30 September 2026; their results sit on the entry site. Round 3/2026 is open until 31 January 2027, round 1/2027 closes on 31 May 2027 and round 2/2027 on 30 September 2027, as listed on the association's competition page. Entry costs EUR 8 per theme for up to four images. The AI clause is short and firm: images not photographed as a whole are out, and so are elements generated by prompt, while photographic composites remain allowed. Without any RAW or capture check, the rule rests on the entrant's word.

Editing rules

Quoted from the 2026 conditions as recorded in September 2026; the entry site now renders its rules only through a browser application, so the wording could not be re-checked in November 2026. Entries are JPG files of at least 3,840 pixels on the long side and must have been photographed in Austria. Every part of an image, composites included, has to be the entrant's own photograph; images generated as a whole and AI-generated elements inserted by prompt are excluded. The rules do not mention RAW files or capture verification.
