Nature Photographer of the Year 2027 (NPOTY)
Run by the Dutch organisation Nature Talks, NPOTY is one of the larger pan-European nature photography contests, with cash prizes in every category, 3,000 euros in total for the overall winner and a touring exhibition through the Netherlands and Belgium. The 2026 edition took entries from 7 April to 8 June 2026 and announces its winners at the award ceremony on 14 November 2026. The 2027 edition is expected to open in April, following last year's calendar, with 2026 fees of 35 euros for the standard categories, a free Youth category and a cheaper portfolio award. The rules ban AI-generated and computer-rendered photos outright and require finalists to hand over their original RAW or out-of-camera files for verification.
