Deutsche Fotomeisterschaft 2027 (DVF)

The Deutsche Fotomeisterschaft is the annual championship of the Deutscher Verband für Fotografie (DVF), the German amateur photography federation, open only to DVF members. The 2027 call had not been published by November 2026. The 94th championship in 2026 took entries from 15 March to 6 April 2026, received 6,321 entries from 1,063 participants, was judged publicly in Mindelheim on 7 June 2026 and named three joint champions, Albert J. Pinkl, Nikolaus Sablowski and Norbert Senser, with the prize ceremony on 3 October 2026. The 2026 rules disqualify any photo created wholly or partly with AI, require a declaration to that effect and let the organiser demand the RAW files, including neighbouring frames, to check for AI.

Authenticity policy

Editing rules

The quotes come from the Ausschreibung of the 94th Deutsche Fotomeisterschaft 2026 (PDF dated 5 January 2026); the 2027 Ausschreibung was not published by 7 November 2026. In all sections only images or image parts created photographically are admitted, computer-generated images are excluded and photos created wholly or partly with artificial intelligence are disqualified without exception. Outside section 3 (nature and animal photography) there are no restrictions on design or post-processing, but image elements may not be removed with AI and replaced by AI. Every entrant declares that no AI was used and that any editing was done by themselves, and the organiser may demand the RAW files, including the frames numbered before and after the submitted image, or other suitable proof. Entries are JPEGs with a short side of at least 2,400 pixels, at most six works, via the DVF upload tool.
