Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2027
The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards punches well above its weight in search volume because the winning images go viral every year. The 2026 competition closed on 30 June 2026; its finalists have been announced, the Sterna People's Choice vote is open, and the winners will be announced on 8 December 2026 at a ceremony in London. The organizers state that the 2027 competition opens in March 2027 to all camera users worldwide; exact dates and the 2027 terms are not yet published. The current rules pair the light tone with a firm line on authenticity: no digital manipulation including any AI editing, and finalists must supply the original image and the RAW/NEF file. Entry is free.

Authenticity policy
AI policy
No digital manipulation, including any AI editing. You can of course, make basic digital corrections (including tone and contrast, burning, dodging, cropping, sharpening, noise reduction and minor cleaning work) but DO NOT ALTER THE INTEGRITY OF THE IMAGE.
RAW files
If you reach the finals, we will ask for the original image, images taken immediately before and after your entry to prove you were there and the RAW/NEF file.
Editing rules
Entries must feature wild animals; pets, domestic, farm and captive animals are not allowed, and any sign that an animal was disturbed, harassed or hurt means disqualification and a lifetime ban. Up to 10 still images (maximum three per category, four for the Portfolio category) plus two video clips per entrant. Finalists must supply the original image, the frames taken immediately before and after, and the RAW/NEF file, and may be asked to sign a declaration that the image was created by them and not by AI.
